I have my affirmations in place and my life is good……………..generally!
I have the best husband and the best friend in the whole world and they are the same person……
I have a well paying job and a home of our own………….so I have nothing to complain about………life is pretty much as I hoped it would be.
So why am I not happy like 40% of the time………….
Well there are reasons………but all of them can be handled……..and yet they are sapping my enthusiasm and I am feeling pretty low……..
I can remember a time when I had far bigger issues and used to wish such minor problems were all that were bugging me………
But now that I am beset with those very “minor” problems……………….they seem to loom huge………………
I don’t know what I am going to do about this…………
But I do know one thing………………I have not been following “No Thought”……
We generally think involuntarily and continuously……….and many believe that we cannot be otherwise
After all, didn’t RenĂ© Descartes say “I think, therefore I am”.
Now, thinking is a necessary activity. But we won’t cease to exist if we cease thinking………..at least continuous habitual thinking (Sorry RenĂ©! )
To practice “No Thought“ is to function on instinct and gut feeling……………and to let thinking be a voluntary act…………done consciously and only when required.
I believe we are not our mind or body but much more than that.
I also believe that our thought patterns bind us and hinder change…….they keep us moving in the same set grooves of behavior……..
And I feel ready to move to the next level…………with the grace of God and my affirmations…..I have a beautiful life today….and I want to be happy in it…
I know that nobody can be happy all the time……………and maybe I don’t even want to be like that………..because people who are always HAPPY are so annoying :-)
But I do want to be happy most of the time and enjoy life to the fullest…….
And I believe “No Thought” can help me with that……………
So I am going to try it……………….will keep you updated
Meek!
